Aerial Flow Yoga is for all those people who wish they could fly. I have studied aerial flow with Ilonka Miklosi with the past several years. Also know as anti-gravity yoga, it consists of letting the material of the yoga hammock take your weight, so you fly into asana that would be otherwise impossible for you. See the gallery for just a taste and watch this space for video posts. It is not for everybody. Trust is an issue. We trust the ground to support us. We need to trust the world of rigging, of thin sails to support us in aerial yoga. We are confronted by a material representation of the warp and weft of life as we hang suspended from a tree or even a carabiner on fifi hook. You have to give yourself to the material. Holding hurts, letting go brings ease.
