Hatha Yoga is the style of yoga I have been teaching in the main. Some sequences in the progressive vinyasa style feature in my classes, but I’m interested in the safe opening and strengthening of the body based on the principle of “release before strengthening” and “active stretch after passive stretch”. Hatha involves the union of the interior of our bodies with the exterior of our world, the light and dark aspects of ourselves, the personal with the universal, and, in my learning, is a physical entryway to the integration of our physical and psychospiritual being with each other and with this life of which we are a very small and temporary part.
